Klang is one of the most exciting ensembles in the Dutch contemporary music scene. Together with several composers, they initiated an album series that is about to see its tenth edition. The music comes from composers such as Peter Adriaansz, Tom Johnson and Oscar Bettison. Part of this series is a limited vinyl edition with the work of composer Kate Moore.

Process
Ensemble Klang is one of Duel's oldest clients. The first record in this series was released back in 2010, with a design that is typographical and inspired by the music of Klang. The name of the composer arises from horizontal lines that transform into sound lines, matching the experimental character of the music.
For Kate Moores "Debris & Alchemy" I designed a limited gatefold vinyl edition in bright yellow and turquoise. The lines are highlighted even more by the varnish that also gives the cover a nice texture. Buyers of the record also received an original screen print drawing made by the composer herself.
