The start-up Urban Sync has a different view on real estate. They are convinced that we have to deal with our urban environment in a smarter way, so it has value and can be preserved in the future. They work on places that generate more energy than they consume. Demountable buildings whose raw materials can be reused in the distant future.

Process
Urban Sync asked our studio to come up with a concept and design for their website. For the concept, we came up with 'New Ideas for Space' and my first approach was to search for images to visualise this concept. In my search I found the work of professor Ben Hamilton-Baillie who focuses on the use of public space. After contacting him he provided us with a series of images to use for the landing page. The animated titles show the range of new ideas and therefore the different fields of architecture and urban environment.
For the design I wanted to create a simple and modern look, only using black and yellow with striking typography. We provided the photographic direction for the Urban Sync team and projects, and each project contains facts and figures about sustainability and their effect on the community.
The result is a simple but effective design that breaks with traditional architectural and real estate development websites. I worked together with Dot Red web development on this project.
