'Erfgoedbalans 2017' is a publication by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science that provides information about the current situation of cultural heritage in the Netherlands. This publication is published once every four years.

Process
For this publication I worked within Studio Duel on the concept as well as the design of the whole publication. Since this assignment was for the ministry, it was a nice challenge to explore the design boundaries within the corporate identity of the Dutch Government. Working with an additional typeface, custom illustrated infographics, striking photography and a colour rich palette, the publication took on its own identity. The embossing on the front and back combined with the Rives Design paper with a clear texture makes this publication stand out at first touch. The colour bars on the side show the different chapters and therefore for the different areas of Dutch heritage.
