Showreel
Showreel of film and animation projects I have worked on over the past years. The scenes show work for clients as well as personal projects. Within these projects my role varied from designing animations, making story & design boards, thinking about transitions between scenes, art-direction, stop-motion and working together with a team of filmmakers and animators.
Vinyl design
Vinyl design for my band Satisfaction Injection. I designed our debut album "Special Medicine" in silkscreen printing. It's a gatefold edition where the cover and back are mainly typographical and the inside is one big mysterious illustration made by former band member Kim David Bots. The pink and turquoise refer to the colourful design of medicines and designer drugs. The two colours combined makes purples, which was used to shade the letters. The music is instrumental jazz-rock and is available on Spotify.
Campaign design
Campaign design for The Hague Shakespeare Festival. After our studio initiated an open call for people to be portrayed as Romeo or Juliet, we selected a few pictures for the campaign. Placing the posters in the city created nice interactions between the people on the posters. Either they look towards each other or away from each other, or simply looked at another person/poster. I chose to use only red and turquoise as opposite colours and created the festival logos, each identical but with a different Shakespeare text in them.
Poster campaign
Poster campaign for start-up Urban Farmers. The concept was to create a teasing series showing several healthy food snacks. This reflects the food they produce locally on Europe's largest rooftop farm, here in The Hague. The wrapper was custom design and tells the story of how UF produce their food, using the Aquaponics method.
Signage
Signing design for Het Nutshuis, a podium for art, culture and society. They transformed their canteen into a brand new public cafe. The result is an adhesive design with the text 'CAFE VOOR 500.000' which covers the windows of the cafe and the offices above. The 500,000 stands for the number of residents in The Hague. At the entrance you can see combinations of topics and type of activities they organise within this former bank building (3133 square meter).
Logo redesign
Logo redesign for the RVS, The Council for Health and Society. For the design I replaced the “For + And” by glyphs ⟶ + &, depicting the concept of giving directions for an inclusive society. To keep the connection with the old identity, I used the same colours, but enhanced the readability. The "raadRVS" version is used for online communication. Currently I'm designing their stationary.
Identity and website design
Identity and website design for celebrating 100 years of voting rights for men and women in the Netherlands. The simple concept is based on the number 100 made from a voting pencil and two voting boxes, for men and women.
Website design
Website & identity design for Subjectio, a cross media web documentary about the power struggle between Russia and The West. The presentation was used to raise funding for the project.
Stop motion film
Stop motion promo film for the ProDemos Meesterburger prize. All the graphic elements where printed and glued to cardboard.
Poster design
Poster design for The Brick House by Eliane Esther Bots. The short documentary film tells the story of two friends and their quest for belonging and the (im)possibility to feel completely at home.
Website design
Website design in Wordpress for Cinematic Intimacy, a study of the encounter.
